The Vintage Farrier
The Vintage Farrier was a project for Men's File magazine that documented a working farrier and demonstrated the artistry and skill that goes into his work. The goal was to create a story using digital technology, costume design, and a location that matched the magazine's theme and look.
Photographs should take on a vintage look that corresponds to images of a farrier from the 1940s and 1950s.
The images are complemented by a minute-long film. Photographers Bill Brandt, Mari Mahr, and August Sander have inspired this project, along with embracing Old Town's vintage British design workwear.
